I’m writing a book. It’s called Words Gone Wrong: Common Bible Study Errors and How to Fix Them. The cover might look like this (this is a mockup made by Zondervan and edited by me with ideas that will probably be rejected, specifically the Bible shape at the bottom, so there’s that):

How it happened
This book began with a message from an editor at Zondervan Reflective, an editor I have met in person and am excited to work with when the book gets turned in—Lord willing in two weeks! As I sit down to write this, I have just finished a chapter, and I’m at approximately 40,000 out of 50,000 words. The material is all fresh, minus an illustration or two I’m adapting and concepts that will be familiar to viewers of my channel. Those concepts will be organized and pointed in a direction my channel has never quite gone, however. And whereas my channel does not use humor, my editor let me tell one joke per chapter.
How I do it
I don’t use no AI to write, but I do use a special keyboard, a special monitor setup on my standing desk, and software that I am absolutely gaga over (Obsidian, about which I talk at length in my BibleTech401 series). Writing is a real joy for me, but it’s also very hard work. I end each day tired. But edified and joyful. For more details, see the video!
